Herghelia Lifestyle Center was the first institution based on preventive medicine principles in Europe. During their 24 years of functioning they continually sought to improve their services and meet the actual needs of the population. Beyond the usual lifestyle treatments, in 2019 there were several special sessions aiming to reach different groups of people.
Kids many times don’t need physiotherapy and therapeutic massage but it’s still nice to go on Holiday with the whole family. And of course the sooner they learn the principles of a healthy lifestyle, the better chances they have to prevent civilizational chronic diseases, growing up. So meanwhile their parents participated in the lifestyle treatments the children had the chance to get involved in exciting activities, such as Microscope Laboratory, Cooking Classes for Children, Aquagym and other motion games.
The students of the Herghelia Training School – where the training of future lifestyle workers takes place – played an active role in the children programs.
In an other special session they targeted the younger generation working at multinational companies or as entrepreneurs, people who usually hardly can save 11 days from their time to go on holiday. This session was shorter but not less intensive than the usual ones.
International sessions has been part of Herghelia’s life for years now. Groups from the USA and from Gudalupe are loved and regularly welcomed guests of the institution. As a result of a successful Google Ad Grants campaign in the last 3 years, yearly 5 sessions have been organized with the participation of 10-15 Hungarian people besides the Romanian guests.
